  4.               DIGITAL Nightmares ...

  6. Knuddel's Quest is a puzzle-action-adventure game. The hero
  7. Knuddel has been captured by the bad aliens. Now he must
  8. escape
  9. from his prison through the alien spacestation. He must
  10. avoid the
  11. bad monsters, their machines, pick up and use items, solve
  12. puzzles
  13. and much more. This is not very easy, but with good luck and
  14. some
  15. use of your brain you will be able to reach freedom ...

  17. The Game:

  19. When the game has been loaded and when the titlescreen has
  20. disappeared you get to the game-menu. Here you can start a
  21. new
  22. game, get informations or quit the game. Move the action
  23. with the
  24. Cursorkeys or the joystick/gamepad and choose what you want
  25. to
  26. do with RETURN or SPACE. If you want to start a new game you
  27. must enter your Name. With this game your position will be
  28. saved -
  29. so that you are able to continue your game later. If you are
  30. playing
  31. your first time you will be asked if you like to play some
  32. tutorial-
  33. levels. This is really recommended, even if in these levels
  34. only a few
  35. action-stones and quests of the full game get explained a
  36. bit.
  37. Knuddel (the game-sprite) is moved with the cursorkeys,
  38. items can
  39. be used with RETURN or SPACE. With ESCAPE the level can
  40. be restarted or left. Key P pauses the game. For further
  41. information
  42. please press F1 in the game. With F2/F3 music/sound can be
  43. toggled on/off.

  45. The demoversion includes the first 15 of all 100 levels in
  46. the full
  47. game!

  53. You need Direct X 3.0 or better installed on your system! If
  54. you
  55. get messages like 'Missing link to DLL ...' you should
  56. install
  57. DirectX. You can get it from www.microsoft.com/directx, our
  58. homepage www.sharedirect.com (Downloads - DirectX) or from
  59. many actual CDs.

  61. If other problems (especcially with sound or music) appear,
  62. you
  63. should try to disable your MIDI-Output in the
  64. Multimedia-Control
  65. of Windows95. Problems with the Gravis Ultrasound Classic
  66. are
  67. known.
